At Last!

Hello world! My name is Kayla, I'm 26 & youngest of 5. I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah. I moved to Seattle with my Mom and older brother when I was 5, after my parents split. My two older sisters and brother stayed behind with my dad. A few years later we moved back and had gained amazing step parents and couldn't ask for a closer family than we have now. I went to Salt Lake Community College where I got licensed in Cosmetology and currently have my own studio salon in Draper, Utah with my friend Stacie.



I met my husband Jordan in 2007, we dated for 4 years until we married 4 months ago and couldn't be happier. He is my best friend and we laugh every day together. He is a Graphic Designer and just recently started his own design business.



We have a 7 year old Boxer named Beamer, and he is our world. He brings such happiness to our lives in so many ways.... Except for when he gets gassy. :)

I'm learning to become a better seamstress, hate to cook but am learning to love it for the sake of my husband, love to eat spaghetti, love to take pictures but wish I was a lot better at it, love fashion/clothes, played the flute for 6 years (yes I am a band nerd), love to watch football with the hubs, and most importantly, I love filling my time with the people I care about the most.

Hey Folks!

Hey people!  My name is Ellie.  I'm approaching my 30's...which is weird, really really weird...and am a mom to 1 and 1/2 kids (2nd due in Feb).  I must say...I think my kid is the cutest EVER

and I'm so excited to meet my little Mr in just a month and 1/2. 

I'm married to a fantastic man who I tend to drag into projects.  The ones where he gets power tools he does willingly.  The ones that involve paint brushes...not so much.  :) 

Personally...I love to eat.  Not so much cook.  However, now that I don't have a full time day job...I've been doing more of it and actually am quite liking the results.  I love to sew.  Getting better at it.  I am absolutely addicted to Pinterest.  Might have done 5 projects in 1 week.  Christmas presents were all Pinterest inspired this past Christmas.  I am a photographer and I LOVE LOVE LOVE catching those moments that speak to people.  I love all things interior design and love remodeling my 1940's bungalow. 

I moved to Utah when I was 6 and except for a brief spell in Florida and Moscow Russia I've always lived here.  I lived in Salt Lake County until I got married and then we moved to Weber County since my hubby attends Weber State.  When I first moved here, people expressed concern for my safety.  Ogden?  Really?  Um folks...Ogden is the place to be!  I have totally developed a love for Ogden.  Really all of Weber/Morgan/Cache county.  I love finding cool new places and all of the amazing hikes and things to do here.  And I'm so excited to share all of this with you guys.
